Existential crisis. This phrase has come into existence in 1930. Did the world reach a critical mass of people facing this crisis that someone had to study this? Did life suddenly/gradually get complicated on Earth?

By definition (Wikipedia), Existential crisis, also known as existential dread, are moments when individuals question whether their lives have meaning, purpose, or value, and are negatively impacted by the contemplation.

or,

Is it our conscience saying, “what you think of yourself and what you do are two different things”.

or,

Bluntly put our conscience “begging for attention”.

When this happens we almost all the time question/confront these dimensions of our “human” life:

  1. Our perception of the future
  2. Meaning of life
  3. Loneliness
  4. Our cosmic insignificance
  5. Our Identity/ status quo
  6. Our Mortality

These moments are emotional and sobering. Having said that, these are moments that give you clarity and quite frankly the desperation and fear that’s necessary to get closer to the character in your head.

It can be losing 20 kgs in four months to Changing jobs, let’s add changing industries to it as well to breaking toxic(retrospect) relationships.

Would this phase comeback? For sure!

What is it all for then? Momentary calm? I think so!

Well! Somewhere between the idealistic view of life and the ground reality, isn’t life about telling yourself stories that make you sleep at night? More importantly, being excited to get out of bed in the morning.
